Review of Geotechnical Engineering Report for the Pit Mines in Lao

TMU has been contracted by Quantus Consultants Indonesia to provide review the geotechnical engineering report for the pit mines of Xekong Power Plant Ltd., located in Lao. The scope includes the review of the geotechnical data collected from the fieldwork investigation, review laboratory test results of core samples provided by GS Engineering Consultants Inc., based in Thailand, and reviewing pit slopes stability analysis and wastedump slopes stability analysis.

  • Barge analysis, includes: (1) estimating berthing period from combination of water level, depth of port basin, and types of barges; (2) cycling time estimation; (3) inter barge space; and (4) barging operational scheme during low river water level and high water level;
  • Provides rainfall intensity design based on rainfall data provided by PMCR;
  • Traffic overview on the Belayan river and Mahakam river; and
  • Risks mitigation

TMU has been contracted by Quantus Consultants Indonesia to provide barging study analysis for Param Mitra Coal Movers. Param Mitra Coal Resources Pte. Ltd., as the Quantus’s client has a plan to increase the coal production target up to 24 mtpa by utilizing barges from Sekampar jetty to the mother vessel through the Belayan river and Mahakam river.
