Feasibility Study of Tailing Storage Facility (TSF) 3 For Sumbawa Juta Raya Gold Mine Project

Feasibility Study of Tailing Storage Facility (TSF) 3 For Sumbawa Juta Raya Gold Mine Project

Sumbawa Juta Raya (SJR), a subsidiary of Pamapersada Nusantara, intends to develop Tailing Storage Facility (TSF) 3 in SJR gold mine located in Sumbawa – West Nusa Tenggara. The TSF 3 is planned to accommodate approximately of 2,400,000 m3 of tailings. In order to support the plans, TMU has contracted by SJR to conduct the study with the scopes:

  • Conduct slope stability design analysis of the dam;
  • Conduct hydrological analysis, includes rainfall analysis, peak discharge, and water quality;
  • Provides TSF water balance modeling;
  • Provides concept of TSF closure;
  • Provide preliminary technical specification;
  • Provide risk mitigation;
  • Provide related regulations for tailing dam development; and
  • Provides recommendations that shall be done before continuing to detail engineering design stage.
  • Conduct site visit to obtain clearly overview the conditions of the project site and performs discussion with the SJR representative on site;
  • Conduct fieldwork investigation involves of geotechnical drilling, geotechnical logging & sampling, and laboratory testing on selected core samples;
  • Conduct desk study, includes (1) Review site condition and river system on the site, (2) Review primary and secondary data provided by SJR, (3) Provides design basis based on available standard policies in Indonesia and Australian standard related to dam project, (4) Provides design parameters based on related secondary data available, (5) Review regional geology and seismic, (6) Creates geotechnical models for analysis based on geotechnical data available;
