PT Semesta Alam Barito (a subsidiary of Pembroke Resources) has designed the 5.75 km of haul road to transport the coal from mine to port. The project is located in Laung Tuhup, Murung Raya – Central Kalimantan. Quantus Consultants Indonesia (QCI) as the consultants of SAB has contracted TMU to conduct geotechnical review for the haul road design, with the scopes:
- Fieldwork investigation by conducting: (1) in situ CBR test on the subgrade of the haul road using field CBR and Dynamic Cone Penetration test, (2) sampling of the subgrade materials, and (3) sampling of the base coarse materials from the quarry.
- Conduct laboratory test to the samples collected to determine the physical properties, permeability, abrasiveness of the base course materials, and compressive strength of the base course materials.
- Performs relevant analysis based on fieldwork investigation results.
- Provides recommendations for designing subgrade and base course.
